Oh my gosh! This is one of the best fics I've ever read. The characters are beautifully drawn, and very realistic, and the parts with Watto and Cliegg are so funny! Excellent job!

Wow. This was great! I'd wondered about the conditions under which Shmi was purhcased by Cleigg, so your fic was a cool one to read. You really know your characters.... :-)

Great story. I was so disappointed that Shmi's story was give so little attention in Episode II. It's great to read such a wonderfully insightful tale of what happened to her between the prequels.

WOW! Never really read any fanfic before, but this was great. Must have been written by a pro, if not the the writer should be! And having Quadrinaros win the pod race was inspired!!

I was stunned, when I sent a fiction called "You Bet Your Life" to a friend, that she said, "Oh, copying JediGaladriel's ideas again, are you?" I had no idea what she meant, so she directed me here and I found that, once again, me and you had the basic same idea (even down to the betting and such), but you did it so much better! I love Owen in this story! And the development of the relationship between Cliegg and Shmi is the best!
