I thought this was good. The story was engaging, and I could easily envision this happening in the Star Wars universe. I hope you're planning on some sequels or other "chronicles", especially after the teaser of the mastermind and tie-in to Hal Horn at the end! Overall, nice job!

Interesting, but I thought I'd see more conflict in the Sergeant's choices.
I'd love to see Lance try this on Hal Horn. Writing a sequel?

I downgraded the combat a little bit for this one...Wyn Veguh would normally have fought to the death, but he's gotten complacent, and perhaps a bit cushy.

I do plan several Underworld Chronicles, but the next one will not feature Lance. Do not fear, as Lance will return...whether it's with Hal Horn or not, I'm not sure. I rarely like to take another person's character and put them in a story...makes me uncomfortable.

Ohhh! wonderful story and very creative. I'm normally a LOTR reader myself, but i finished all the stories on the site i'm used to! Great fic. I'm a big corran horn fan and this puts a spin and an interesting twist on the death of his father. keep up the great work!
