Emily's Comments:

This is an extremely interesting and thought provoking story. As of yet, we know very little about Owen and Beru Lars, and this seemed very plausible. The character development was very good, especially for a short story. I enjoyed reading it and I related well to Beru.
It could have been better if the connection between Qui-Gon and Beru was stronger. I couldn't understand why she would completely change the way she thought just because she had a dream about Qui-Gon Jinn. And I didn't understad how she could feel the Force gathering around, as she isn't a Jedi.
But I liked it.

That was a really good fic. I for one thought that the thing with her feeling
the force was very interesting. I guess that anyone can feel the force at a time.
I really enjoyed reading that.

Very sweet. Not as harsh as many other fanfics, it's refreshingly nice.

Very nice. It is actually very frightening to go from the life you know into something absolutely new and unknown, and it tends to make you question the choices you've made. Once again, I think it was very nicely done.

Has anyone noticed that this does not go with AOTC?

It doesn't need to. Speculation is a perfectly normal thing to do, and it was written long before we knew any details about Owen and Beru.

I love it! Very nicely written and a wonderful subject. Beru and Owen are written about far too infrequently!
And the new cover picture is stunning! :)

I found this to be very interesting. The dream with Qui-Gon and didn't really understand. But other than that, I found it most interesting.

The characters of Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru have also been of interest to me, and I think this little story definitely brings them to life.

If you remember the homestead from ANH, recall how solitary and uncompromising it was; this author illustrates with simple phrases how such a life could either make the inhabitants stronger, or dead. You get the feeling of choices made and undestood here, in just a few pages.

the It will be interesting to see what George Lucas has in mind for us in AOTC, but in the meantime, I think that readers can use "Tatooine Housewife" as a great starting point for speculation.

This was a very well-written story. It was nice to read something about Owen and Beru, since we do not know much about them, other than Owen is Anakin Skywalker's step brother, and Obi-Wan delivered Luke to them as a tiny ifant to raise.

This fic caught my interest because I am writing a Beru story right now, and naturally I wanted to see someone else's take on it.

Your perception of Beru is very different from mine; unique and fresh. Especially having her with a connection to the Force like that.
