Lovely. :)

I can certainly see this happening, and I love how you brought in not only Anakin's lightsaber, but how and why Owen wouldn't allow Obi-Wan to see Luke. The idea that Owen felt guilt for not going after Shmi is new to me, but it makes such perfect sense - and explains so very well why he didn't want Luke to have anything to do with the Jedi or the Force. Your descriptions and detail are well done, and Obi-Wan was characterized very well.

Good job. :)

Aargh! I thought I'd get to post first but Obaona beat me to it!

I wanted to say that I enjoyed this story very much. I was beautifully written, and I loved the way you filled in the little details - Beru's concerns and Owen's guilt. Plus, I never thought of Luke displaying his Jedi potential as a child, but I guess it was inevitable, wasn't it? This was a very well done 'missing scene' piece. I hope to see more from you.

This is a really beautiful story. It is wonderfully written and I think explains perfectly why Owen was so against Luke seeing Ben. There simply isn't a better explanation! Every detail is well thought out, and the story just flows. Lovely, lovely work. I could go on reading all day.

Lovely story. It's definitely something I could see Beru doing, as she seemed to be the one to see that Luke couldn't stay with them forever. Also, very well written...

This story fits perfectly in to the perstory of star Wars. This explains why obi wan did not take a more active presene in lukes life.

A very good story, unlike other fan fiction, I could really see this story happening.

completely believable, this was a very interesting story to read. it provided a bit of insight into something entirely overlooked as of yet in the EU: Luke's childhood. though short, it proved highly entertaining. congrats.

Good story! It fits in very nicely with what little we know of Owen and Beru from AotC and ANH. I also want to mention that the renditions of Obi-Wan and Beru for the cover art are great.

Wow.

This was by far the best fan fiction I have read on here. It was well thought out and well written, fit perfectly into the Star Wars storyline, and generally was just enjoyable to read. To the author: write more! You are very talented!

Very nice story, Ladybug. I liked your portrayals, both of Beru and Obi-Wan. The gentle tone of the piece seemed very much in keeping with the patient man Obi-Wan had to have become.

This was a lovely read. I could seriously see this happening in a novel somewhere between Episode III and Star Wars: A New Hope. Thanks for sharing this with all of us and I look forward to reading more of your work.

Nicely done, Lady Bug. I applaud you. :) Beru and Obi-Wan are both written very "true to life" in my opinion, and it was a pleasure to read. I wish you luck in your future endeavors, and may your writing continue to entertain us all. May the Force be with you.

this is a very well written story. I agree with everyone that it fits nicely into the star wars universe. I may be wrong about this, but in the first few chapter of AOTC the book, Owen goes with his father to find Beru. A great story regardless.

This fan fic was very intersting. I like how you get a glimse of how Owen felt about Shmi. You almost feel sorry for Beru because you see hot all she really wanted was a nice quite with a simple family. Instead, she gets her brother-in-law's kid who she has to hide everything from, but still love as her own.

Marktu, you are correct. In the AOTC novel, Owen and Cliegg both go after Shmi. Personally, I think this to be true in the movie as well, but I really liked the story. Ladybug, you do an excellant job with this premise of what Owen might feel had he not gone with Cliegg. Hope to see much more from you in the future!

I really enjoyed your story! You did a really nice job on fleshing out the character of Beru Lars and I liked the emphasis you put on the fact that Owen sees Luke as Shmi's grandson, not as Anakin's son. It explains why Owen loved Luke so much.

Great story! Dead-on with the characterisation. I felt like I was reading an actual novel. You can be sure I’ll be looking out for your work in the future. Oh, and did I mention I loved the descriptions? Perfect.

Wonderful! I enjoyed this storyline - nice and filling, and short enough to read during my lunch break!

More holes filled in! Loved it! Well done!

very nice.
now that we get to see Obi-Wan in the PT, it makes it all the more sad to know that he had to be in a hut for 20 years just waiting...
