I had quite a few people read and comment on this story before it wound up here (!) but I'd like to thank my betas, Destiny, Annalee, and also Rogue Jedi. Special thanks to Annalee for the wonderful cover! You guys are the greatest. :)

very good story... It sort of makes you think about the pain and torture any POW stands. very appropriate for the time. Really neat ending...

Good job, Naboos_Princess! I like this story just as much as I did when I beta-ed it. It's so haunting and sad! And thanks for remembering me! :p

Wonderful story, Naboos_Princess. It is emotion-filled, and is a fitting legacy for any POW. You have made the stars seem so special, rescuers to souls who would otherwise be lost, without hope.

I love the title; it is so haunting, so sad.

Like bobill said, a common man's POV, which makes it all the more touching.
Poignant and haunting.
Well done.

I was interested the moment I saw the cover, but...
As many people have said:
A haunting angst that reveals what the people behind the Alliance went through. Naboos_Princess, I stand amazed in your presence.

Very well done. It's as strong of a work now as it was the first time I've read it.

You've captured very important themes, essential to the human existence, and highlighted them in a manner that's hauntingly realistic.

A superior work, to be sure.

Hey, Star Wars gal! Naboos_Princess, you have outdone yourself with this one. Like I've told you, I absolutely love it! Your title fits everything perfectly, with it all tied in together. It's sad but absolutely lovely, with closure and sweetness amidst the tears.
Please always keep writing and sending me your stories! Thanks again, Princess!

This is just the kind of story I love, Sacrafice and Death so to speak. I'm writting about an Imperial Admiral who sacrafices himself when he is captured, Rather than to give up and betray. It reminded me of my story. Although I am an Empire fan, This Story was Sweet (As in Cool Sweet, Not Sweet as in Girl stuff)

Perfect. Intelligence has always been my favourite divison of the Alliance, and this was a perfect portrayal of a condemned man, brave to the end.

hey dude, surely the imperials arent that bad, i feel bad for supporting the empire now, ok maybe i dont, i liked the story because the ones that dont always have a happy ending are the ones that make a difference. it motivated me to write, but lets not forget, the rebels are the bad guys here

Wow...

I was intrigued to read this story simply by the title. It captured my attention and then I saw it was an original character. I usually hesitate to read fic with original characters, but I'm glad that this one time, I decided to toss off old habits and go for it.

You have a beautiful style of writing, very literate and very descriptive. I felt as if I was there--that I was your character--throughout much of this piece. Just a personal opinion--I would have loved to have seen the death scene played up a bit, but I'm just weird like that. ;)

But very nice. Thank you so much for the read. :)

I'm basically reiterating what's already been said; simple but touching. Makes you think about life and its cruel ironies...
