I get the first one! That was hilarious! From underpants to lullaby (especially the verse on Mara)I adored it. And with the humor, you also portrayed their sadness in leaving ben. Oh, i don't know wether to laugh or cry! keep on writing

Wonderful story, Jedi-2B! The combination of both humour and sadness was perfect, and you really captured Luke and Mara's personalities. A job well done, and I only hope that the SW writers will follow your lead and give Luke and Mara another child. "Nah-nee!"

Awesome! The song was hilarious! It made me happy and sad at the same time; it's like something my older brother would do. But this was beautiful, and I anticipate more of your writing.

I give much props to Jedi-2B, cuz this story was dope as hell! Awesome job. It was kinda strange to see a softer, maternal side to Mara instead of the usual hardcore, bad-ass-with-a-mile-wide-mean-streak, Jedi warrior chick. It's like, she's survived training under Palpatine himself, all the assassination missions for him, an insane Dark Jedi, her own insanity over the Emp's last command and whatnot, and a billion other things, including a Yuuzhan Vong bioweapon, and all it takes is an infant saying "mah-mee" to just cause her to break down into tears. That was a little unexpected and, therefore, good storytelling since it was believable that she would break down like that over Ben. All around, an awesome story. WOOP-WOOP!

I just wanted to thank everyone who leaves a comment or a rating for this fanfic. I really appreciate your taking the time to do so.
Most of all I want to thank my betas -- Gabri_Jade and JediGirl -- and obaona, for her wonderful cover art. Your encouragement and talent added so much to the story.
This was a fun little fic to write, born out of a need to see a glimpse of family life for the Star Wars characters, which the novels sorely lack. And I knew Mara had a hidden emotional side when she cried over losing her ship, so I could see her letting her emotions show with Ben.
Thanks again, everyone.

First off, any story with Luke, Mara and Ben is bound to be loved by me! There just isn't enough out there to tell the stories that so many of us want to hear! This was a great fanfic with humor and sadness and seriousness and playfulness and an example of what a family in their situation would experience. I only wish that Luke and Mara will have another child and that they have a chance to raise him/her without the interference of a war. Thank you for sharing your story!

This story is so much better than mine. I love to see quiet, personal moments like this; in my opinion they give a much greater capacity for characterization and depth and a higher degree of satisfaction than straightforward action. It's wonderful to see more stories about Ben; I'll be very disappointed if the SW authors don't turn out some post-NJO material on him. Continue the stellar work, Jedi 2-B.

This story is definitely one of my favorites, Michele. It was a pleasure to beta. There aren't nearly enough stories that focus on ordinary moments and real family life for our favorite characters. This is a wonderful glimpse at Luke and Mara being not so much Jedi as a husband and wife learning how to be parents, and I enjoyed every minute. I hope to see many more stories from you in the future.

GREAT,GREAT story!! It had everything in it. Humor, sadness, 2 parents discovering the joys & challenges of having a small child. (Loved the part w/Mara's underwear.) To see a more playful side of Luke & Mara is refreshing. Keep up the good work. Hope to see more stories from you in the future.

FANTASTIC! I loved this piece of writing (since I like anything with Luke, Mara and Ben in it). The lullaby was so funny. I've read this about 10 times and still love (I always read it in my spare time). Would love to see a sequel to it.
Keep up the fantastic work! MJSLSBS

I've been reading TheForce.net fanfics for a while now and have come to realize that the ones that show the characters having something of a normal day, aka no lightsaber duels or fights with armies of stormtroopers or the like, are one of my favoorite types of stories. This stoty really takes the cake as far as that goes. It's nice to see that some of the most important people in the SW galaxy can take time off and spend time with family. Great work!

This story had great vision and you did a very fine job of staying true to the characters' natures. I like the thought of Luke and Mara seeing their son at some point in the war, it seems like it was emminent. After all, they are his parents. I haven't yet seen a fic that illustrates the pain our, (or at least my), favorite characters experience at the abscence of their son. This is a much more human side of two Jedi masters; and personally I like that. No one is without a weakness, and come on parenting has to be scary under normal conditions alone. This is a great way to write a fic, I can only hope that others will follow your example. Amazing job and keep on writing. ^^ Best of Luck Amigirl, future writer

I loved this story. It does capture the feeling of having to leave a child with someone else to raise so you can go off to war. I experienced it with my child. I was in tears yet again at the memories of leaving my little "jedi" behind.
Thank you so much for writing it.
