First off, I have to thank my terrific betas. You know who you are, and you know how much I appreciate you. And big thanks to FernWithy: your cover art is always a wonderful surprise!

This story, the fifth in my Fables series, is based on a Japanese folktale called the Midwinter Bride.

I personally found this story rather creepy . . . maybe because Anakin's 'father' here is not really good, nor *particularly* evil, it would seem, and that gets me thinking on Anakin's future and the reasons for it.

Nicely done. :)

I really enjoyed this story and I liked how you incorporated the reason for her picking the mushrooms off of the vaporators, as mentioned in AOTC.

I really liked this. It was one of the best that I have read.

Loved this the first time I read it, when I saw the underpinnings of the Japanese folktale, in this story. LadyElaine has again demonstrated how another culture's literary treasures can be used to explain something considered unexplainable, from a "GFFA."

I like it, kind of reminds me of a Tales from the Crypt film I seen years ago.

A well crafted story. I've never liked the idea of Anakin having a father. But your take is unique and is weaved into the story of the films with ease.

Very good write. This particular story leaves room to the readers imaginations of "what could be." You take full advantage of that to create your story. Impressive...

Love this story. I consider this the story that explains it. never really says what the "father" is(good mystery).

-"Referenced"(not really) in TPM by Gardulla lost them betting on the podraces
-in AOTC with the mushrooms on the vaporators
-in ROTS with the legend of Darth Plagueis and midichlorians.

it all fits in so perfictly, the sandstorms before he arives the sand when he leaves plus the storm that marked anakins birth. i think that the man might have been a djinn because they're said to be able to control the desert elaments. and it seems fitting that anakin would be created by sand to be destroyd by flames.

theres something poetic about it.
