YAY! I'm the first to comment! This is an AWSOME story, I think anyways. Your an amazing writer and I hope you keep writing. :) I like how you capture all her thoughts.

P.S. Finnally I write a comment where I don't feel like I'm just coping everyone elses!

What an original story! I can't say I've ever read anything quite like this - it was sweet and heartrending all at once. I loved the way the story was told from the POV of a dead person. There's truly a good deal of food for thought here.

Excellent job.

Fantastic work, very well done. Who would have thought a story like this, in the Star Wars universe. I am quite in awe of this, thank you for writing it.

I've been lurking here for a long time reading stories, some average, some awesome.

This is the first one that I've felt the need to comment on. You moved me. The imagery of the Mother looking after her little daughter almost moved me to tears.

I'm going to go upstairs and hug my daughter now. She should know how much her Daddy loves her.

Peace from New York CIty.

Wow, this is a great story. I think a continuation of this story would be really cool. Keep up the good work!

An interesing story, I cant help but wonder how it really relates to the SW universe other than briefly mentioning Corelia. I this kind of story, and the plot, and the mood, well done.

Late again, but better late than never! ;)

First of all, I'd like to thank LP and oba for their lovely betas. You gals really picked this story apart, and helped to make it so much better (and may I say, easier to understand and just a tad more normal). :p *huggies*

Also, there is a story behind this story. Back in September, I was haunted by bad dreams of flames and fire. After having them for almost 2 weeks, I decided to write out my fears...and it succeeded. "Remembrance Never Dies" is the result of that purging process.

Thank you to everyone who read or replied to this story. I appreciate it very much. :)

sicilian87mafia- Gaeriel Captison, the narrator of this vignette, was one of Luke Skywalker's "lost loves." During the 'Corellian Trilogy,' she perished in the Corellian system after her ship was attacked by Thracken Sal-Solo's forces. Her husband, Pter Thanas (a former Imperial Commander on Bakura) had died a year before, and she left behind a 5-year-old daughter, Malinza. I've always liked Gaeriel, and I wanted to write something with her in it. Thus, this story in which she comes to grips with leaving her daughter an orphan. :)

Exelent work, and something that intrieges us all, the afterlife, add to that the Star Wars twist and a death in a space battle, and its sheer bliss. Kudos to the author.
