WOW!!! Aye, this is the first thing I have to say about this story. I was almost swept away, as though enraptured, to say the least. My throat had a minor lump, too. The writing was excellent and the story itself was very good. The way the hopelessness was described was so living that I could actually picture the scenes in my mind. Tenel Ka is my upmost favourite character altogether, mostly because I've read the books concerning her and Jacen's 'relationship', as well as "Star by Star" and "Dark Journey" from the NJO series, which were very exciting to read. The only thing I could wish for was that the story contained perhaps Jacen's fate and/or burial, and what Tenel Ka would have experienced then.
Once again, very good story. And good effort in making them seem older; I immediately sensed it, as well as the old traits from their time together at the Academy on Yavin IV. :)
One comment about the text: I noticed an error: "A lock of her titan hair, which had long free been free of her warrior braids..." - notice: 'free'

i had to read it twice to understand it, it would seem people like to have the twins die, i thought it was written well, and its one of those stories that doesn't have a happy ending, and thats what makes it unique.

I adored this story when I first beta-ed it and now rereading I find that I love it even more...I LOVE the irony of Jacen telling his 'joke' and the ending is just beautiful...you've done a wonderful job with this.

I really enjoyed reading this story, I think that your storyline or something like it has a real possibility of happening in the books. After all, characters, especially Star Wars ones, are made to suffer. :( Poor Jacen and poor Tenel Ka! I wish they could be happier.

That was beautiful. I'm usually not one to care much about the Jacen/Tenel Ka romance, but that ... it was gorgeous. It seemed to capture a gallant spirit far removed from modern times.

this was a brilliant and touching story. i loved tenel ka's characterisation - it was perfect. i wished jacen hadn't died tho, and i would have loved to see both jacen's and tenel ka's reaction to jacen falling in love with danni quee. perhaps you should use that as your next storyline - it could be even better with this one!

WOW.

I have NEVER read a fan fic about Jacen and Tenel Ka before this. I have only read one single post-ROTJ EU book (I'm just more of a prequel trilogy person :))-- it was called "The Shadow Academy", out of the Young Jedi Knights series.

Needless to say, I know very little about these characters, and, *sigh*, have very little emotional attachment to them.

But you just changed all that! I had a hunch to read this story-- something (THE FORCE!! Haha, j/k) told me it was going to be great! And it was! I now want to go read the entire series!! You made me CARE! I was totally drawn into your stories, and I loved it from the beginning to end. Five stars!

Finally a Jacen/Tenel Ka fic! These two characters should have been together...and if not together, their relationship shouldn't have been dropped in the NJO. ::sigh:: One of my major complaints with the NJO was that. Oh well...great fic!
