I'd like to thank Rhonderoo for the cover art, first of all. Secondly, my betas, Lady Padme and Obaona, who worked tirelessly on this fic to help me get it up to speed. Special thanks also to MariahJade and Boushh.
I wrote the story almost two years ago. The idea came to me when watching Episode II, and I realized -- with AOTC in place, that Shmi's gravestone wasn't present in Episode IV.

I really enjoyed this story! The characterization of Owen and Beru were wonderful in particular - I love it when writers get behind some of the more "peripheral" characters and give us a window into their thoughts and motivations. I now have a soft spot for Uncle Owen!
In short, a very well done, compelling read and one I can see myself re-reading :). Thanks!!

This is a very beautiful story. I particularly like the very simple style, which reflects the elegant simplicity of the storyline and, of course, Luke's childhood itself. You portray his relationship with his aunt and uncle very well, and I can really see how it will develop into what we see in ANH.
