Aah.... Well done. There's something exceptionally touching, and disquieting, and vivid about her feeling Padme's belly and finding that the child isn't there.

beautiful use of understatement and small, poignant details -- the aesthetic seems almost asian to me.
i liked the characterization of obi-wan, and the way you wrote the exchanges between him and padme's grandmother.
