My initial reaction to reading this story was "Oh boy, this is not going to end well..." Then I got to the end, and I must admit it's pretty good. My main concern was the possibility of putting the OT characters right in the middle of the critical events of ROTS, but setting them up as observers and counselors did the trick.

Oh, and nice job on setting up doubts in Vader's mind. It almost makes me anxious to hope for a sequel to this tale.

I love this story. It is one of the best one's out there. I think Ish did a great job of placing the characters in critical events without changing the course of history, but effecting their views of the past.

Star Traveler--Yeah, there was so much that could go wrong, both in the story and the storyteller's skill itself. Glad you found it to be good by the end. :) I had the same concern as you about the situation, which is why this was my first time-travel of this nature. And I'm VERY happy that you enjoyed the doubts in Vader's mind. The sequel is called To Gather Stones Together and is being written at boards.theforce.net.

Noelie--Thanks, Noelie. :)

Araxie--Thanks, Araxie. :) I'm very thankful that you liked the way the characters were placed.

Interesting. I will admit, I abandoned this story on the boards when I found that you had chosen for them to fail. I had, after all, started reading it in the first place because I was interested in the idea of their changing things. (Well, that and the title was neat.) So I kind of lost interest at that point.

Futility is still not my cup of tea, but the idea that this will be folded back into the OT era, with the AU-changes mainly acting on the central characters as they return rather than on their past, is more palatable than the idea that they are stuck there and won't even be available to go through the last two movies. I'm curious to find out how the changes to the characters will play out.

I liked the handling of the time travel and that they sent back extra help; the characterization of the main three is really good, concern and tension and banter, and the surrounding characters and organization. Toward the end, I was especially impressed by the interweaving of OT scenes that haven't happened to Luke, as dreams/visions with what he knows now. Throughout I was impressed with Leia's interactions with the man who doesn't know he'll be her father.

Personally, I've been dreading the day someone tried to merge time travel with Star Wars like every other episode of Star Trek seems to be. I can't tell you how glad I am to be proven wrong. You did a great job with this and I found myself imagining the scenes in my mind as I read the words themselves. Very Good!

Wow! I could not put this down. This time travel was a great story, better than the Star Trek ones (enjoyed some but found others unbelievable), while this one was believable and seemed to fit in well with the events in the movies. I like it that things were not changed. The interaction with between Leia and Padme and Leia and Bail were especially well-done. This was also good at Leia and Luke realizing their relationship. Thank you

I've spent the last 4 hours reading this story and it was amazing. I expected them to turn Vader back to the Light Side or kill him or something, but it had such a different twist than other stories I've read that were similar to this, that I couldn't help but love it. You incorporated the movies very well into it, and I love how each section brings a new revelation that was only going to occur later on in their lives. It was very great and I'm so glad I had the time and took it to read it

This is a really interesting story. I liked how true to themselves Han, Leia and Luke were, and how the interacted with those in the past. Hoping you write more!

Better than expected. Time travel is a tricky theme, and it was handled well. The ending nothing but promises a sequel which I will gladly wait for.

I just finished reading rthis and I thought it great. I jusr have few quesrions thoufgh if they came back before return of the jedi how come none of the charecters didn't know about each other for example Leia and Luke being twins and Vader being their father or why doesn't leia know what mother really looks like? Don't get me wrong I have an imagination and can fill in the gaps but I still wanted to hear the "offical explanation"

This was nothing short of amazing. I thought we'd see an epic AU but instead you delivered a heartfelt echo of the workings of destiny. Amazing!
