I adore this fic to this day. I think it's one of my favorites of yours. There's nothing obviously.... mm... dark about it, but you can feel that kind of bitterness it has. The world is what it is, and you make your way as best you can. It's the only way he's known how to live ever since his aunt and uncle died. He's found in her a sense of stability, even if the definition of the relationship itself is still uncertain.
I'm so glad this is archived. *hugs*
Also, welcome back mi amiga. 8-)

This is truly a great piece of work. It is a masterpiece in its own right. I love how you've captured a different side of both Luke and Mara. You bring a new question into my mind, what if Luke had been an Imperial? Would life have a taken a similar turn, if only on the imperial side?

I am always reluctant to read AU stories, for the simple reasoning that they never fully make sense. Authors choosing random points in the original story for the break off is the main reason that I read AU stories rarely and reluctantly. But I thoroughly enjoyed yours! That you didn't state exactly when the universes split off and leaving it up to the reader is the main reason that I enjoyed this piece of writing. I advise you to do more.

There's no such thing as non fiction, for lord's sake. All these so claeld non fiction books, like fiction, are designed to make money .and all so claeld non fiction is derived from fiction, and vica-versa. Anyone get what I mean?
