Very intriguing. Not enough of these stories make it to the archive. Bravo on the writing and story, I dug the old droid/Yoda parallel.

I haven't read it, but I feel I must point out, droids aren't connected to the force.

Says who?

Neither the nature of droids nor the nature of the Force has ever been defined.

Actually, there is a droid in the EU who is connected to the Force. I believe his name is Skippy.

Nicely done!

I thought it was boring and pointless. It's well written, but it doesn't do it for me, sorry.

I agree that this was well-written, and kind of cute; however, I thought that Gen. Grievous (sp?) had once been human, but due to serious injury, illness, something like that, he had been fitted with life-sustaining devices, sort of like Vader's gear, I guess. I could be wrong, though. That would explain his ability to access the Force; he would still be part human, as Vader was. Also, did Grievous actually "access" the Force and use it, or was he simply trained to fight with lightsabres?? Again, I'm not really sure about all this. This story does make you wonder about droids and the Force, though, since even R2D2 often did things that seemed instinctual to help people; how can droids do that, unless they are somewhat alive?

Things that make you go hmmm...

Nice read. I liked the Yoda speak and connection. It is interesting that the Force enabled droid assumed the Grievous was a droid that used the Force as well, when that is not entirely the case.

With all the muck about midichlorians and such it makes the case that droids can't touch the Force at all. I have always disliked the midichlorian rubbish and thought it a failing of the Star Wars cannon. I would say that because C3PO was designed and constructed by a Force user then it is possible to imbue this droid with Force potential to a small degree, especially if the creator was able to see futures a bit and feel the need for a droid like this in some future setting for a specific destiny.

General Grievous was trained in the Jedi arts by Count Dooku, but was not a force-user himself. The story is very well written, and fits nicely as a "lost moment" from the original Star Wars. And it is true, there are instances where droids have shown force-aptitude, but they are few and far between.

Boring and confusing. Poorly written. No, I soured to this 'effort'.

I found it an interesting read, if the Force is an energy field, why must it be restricted to only the "meatbags"?
