I had already read this story before and from the first chapter on I knew it would be one of my favorite fics. It's incredibly dark, pure Obi-torture (why???!!!! *cries*) but fascinating. There is great insight, we discover Obi-Wan's thoughts and realise that even if he is a Jedi, he's still human. A great story, and all I can say is "bravo, incroyable"!

This story is the only multi-parter that I've found to be absolutely impossible to stop reading; I read it straight through in one sitting. *Read this story.* The prose is almost like liquid poetry. As I told Avalon before, this story captures the essence of pure "Obi-thought" and is an excellent Obi UST piece.

One of the two Avalon stories that got me hooked on fan fiction. This story should be listed under the definition of 'Obi-torture'. A must-read for fans of that genre.

I read this story before too, at Lucy's Obi-Wan or somewhere, and i enjoyed it there too. Very well written, great story - i love stories where Obi's a hero! :D Heh heh.

from his thoughts to the evilness of the aliens to the whatever her name was person who was torn between doing something she knew was wrong and saving her people.

For a while there, I thought the unknown aliens were the Yuuzhan Vong. But nevertheless, a poignant, well-conceived story that dealt with the temptation of the Dark Side very well.

I have also read this story before. This was the first star wars fan fic that i had ever read. I could not stop reading once i started. I think i was up until 2 a.m. finishing it. I absolutely love any obi-wan fics, and this being the first one I read made any others kind of pale by comparison. I've read many fics since this one, and the amount of obi-torture in this fic is just right for my liking.

That was incredible! The author captured the human emotions perfectly...it was so real, so human...I've never read a story as awesome as this one! You know...Avalon should really think about publishing. This would be a hit.

I stumbled across this story while exploring this site and started to read this story. I'd like to say how much I enjoyed this story. It made me cry! It was very descriptive in relating the emotions that Obi-Wan was experiencing throughout the story. It was absoloutly wonderful at the end when Qui-Gon came to Obi-Wan's rescue. I just loved it, all the way through!

Awsome story! There is nothing I love more then pure Obi-wan torture(but don't get me wrong. I think Obi is a complete hottie and so is Ewan.)Qui-gon I know you really weren't in this fic but I still think you are dumb!

That was sooo cool! Poor Obi-Wan! But it was a very good story, and I couldn't stop reading! I think I was up until midnight with my mom yelling for me to go to bed, and me yelling back "ten more minutes..." Very good!

Great job portraying the inner struggle Obi-Wan goes through in this story. There were a few things that I didn't think would really be physically possible (sumersaulting) without the Force, especially in that condition, but hey, creative license. Very well done, kept me reading intently.

What an awesome story. You were able to develope all of the characters very well. Each of the two captures were described beautifully. I felt like I understood those characters' motives, intentions and personal conflict. And then Obi-Wan's reactions, self-blame, and personality were portrayed very well. Qui-Gon's last minute arrival topped everything off, ending this beautifully. This is a very well written piece. Will there be a sequel?

Wow. That was...just.. INCREDIBLE!!!!! I loved it!!!! It really explored Obi-Wan's mind, and his limits. I also think that it hinted at how powerful Obi-Wan really is. I also loved the way you showed how much Qui-Gon cares for Obi-Wan. I think I may be turning to the Dark Side because I enjoyed reading the torture. It was well written and gave you a sense of the pain Obi-Wan felt, and showed he he overcame his limits. It is one of the best fan fictions I have read! I just hope you will continue with it. Who are the creatures? Are they conected with the Sith? I would love to know. Please write more! But enven if you don't, it was an awesome story!!!

Stunningly lovely, well-written, interesting, and a "pade-turner."

What a wonderful story --- Obi-wan's emotions, his Padawan's strength, his stoic determination yet the doubt that could easily suggest itself to him, were all perfect for where his character was in age, maturity, and training. Also his bravery,and tenaciousness! Very well done!

I was so happy at the end, when Qui-Gon showed up, and the other Jedi!! Rest now, young Padawan, they'll make you better!
