This was a good concept, and you did well showing the conflict in Vader. However, the story was hurt by the odd mix of serious with nearly farcical elements. I still enjoyed it.

This doesn't seem "right" for so many reasons. As mentioned, the comedic elements took away from the story instead of helping it. And there's no way Vader would of acted like that. Also, the Alliance wasn't even started at this point in time.

Interesting concept, but I'm not sure what you were going for. It would make a very good farce/parody. I had to laugh at the stormtrooper's dialogue!

This was really good, but I kept thinking it was Alternate Universe because there's no way Vader would have done that.

I also think he would have killed that stormtrooper... but maybe he hadn't seeped into the Dark Side enough.

I liked this. I thought it was an interesting take on Luke's orign. I think Vader likely WOULD have acted like that.

As mentioned before, my only issue comes from Fixer (Zevul). His comedic antics seemed to distract from the drama of the piece.

Plus I'm sure Vader would NEVER tolerate someone someone referring to him as Darth V. lol!

I wasn't entirely sure whether this was supposed to be humorous or serious. The characterizations needed work, too. It's a good premise, however, and could be a very good fic.

I intended this to be a serious story but added Zevul/Fixer as comic relief, because I don't like super-serious stories. I do admit I may have overdone it.

BTW, what the heck is a farce?

I think It's a good story, but this is Darth Vader. I don't think Vader could be this sensative ever!! And if he knew Obi-Wan was there why didn't he kill him in the first place? Instead of at the Death Star? I don't think this makes any sense at all. Besides from that I think It's a nice story to read

Hey I enjoyed this story because it showed that Vader still had some "good" left in him. But I agree with the other responses that the humor in it wasn't correct. It messed up the story because it took away everything anybody already knows about Vader. But regardless, it was entertaining to read and keep up the good work.

great story but this I am saying to everyone who says "vader would not have reacted like thet" or "vader wouldve killed Zevul" well it it an intertrilogy story for all we know there was still a little bit of good in vader only thing is that the alliance would not have begun then

Nice idea tho..but indeed..there is no chance vader would have acted like that..but no doubt he would have felt something for the kid...but why didnt he go back to get his wife too?...he still loves her....nice try..a little bit more consistency and you a better novel.

The story started off good, but went down and down until it was a total farce.Vader would NEVER act remotely like that and would NEVER EVER let anyone call him darth v. Also when he gave the baby to owen and beru it almost seemed as if they were expecting him for all the surprise they showed. Not everyday Vader turns up on your doorstep with a baby to give away.So in all i thought this was just over the disgrace mark.

This is the craziest and funniest stories I've ever read! The stormtroopers were funny as hell. Go Lord V! Should have got Owen to shoot Vader with a shotgun though... oh well

I liked the story, but there were a few things I didn't like. The biggest one was that the story ends with Vader knowing where Luke is. I would have ended it with Vader giving Luke to Obi-Wan (and somethng Vader says gives Obi-Wan the idea of leaving Luke with Owen). Also, for those who say Vader wouldn't have acted like that, I agree. Vader wouldn't, but ANAKIN would. I pictured this story with Anakin (from AOTC) decked out in Sith robes before the battle with Obi-Wan. Reading it with that image in mind, changes your whole perspective of the piece.

I don't get how he can do that lullabye with his voice modulated device and loud respirator voice. I can see why people would object to how he acted with 'Fixer' in front of his crew on board his ship at that point in time. The Amidala thing never was interesting, but it seems he didn't do anything with the information since you have him leaving her to escape from him again so that he can put his boy child into the hands of near strangers.

The story was very good since it's primary focus seemed to me to be that Vader didn't want to mess up his son's future by letting the Dark side have him. Almost letting the force decide his fate like it did his own when he was young.

I would like to know how this information would play out. How would Vader have reacted in the timeline knowing about his son and confronting him.

Good job once again.

I think this is a very good fan fic, and wanna applause Kenya Starflight for thinking it up. I also think that GL should consider this as an ending to ep.III. Vader WOULD do something like this, because he tried his best to keep Luke alive in the OT.

It's a good situation comedy. I can't see it other way, 'cause we all know that as soon as the stormtrooper said Vader that nickname, he would be dead. Still, I actually enjoyed reading it, as I said, it was fun.

This was nice..... very nice..... Oh, and impressive..... MOST impressive..... Hm..... kinda hard to imagine Vader humming..... But, he's not really Vader, he's Anakin Skywalker underneath that facade, trust me on that. 'Member the ending of Return of the Jedi? I think the changed ending on the DVD was cool..... And slightly sweet, granting Anakin the chance to say to blazes with the Sith facade..... t'was sweet.
