I was glad to review this story. I was reading it concurrently with a JA novel, and it really has the same feel to it. The nephrolite is an interesting device, and Xanatos certainly is dead on as his obnoxious self. I found the Sitaris/Obi-Wan relationship interesting, and the unusual beliefs of the Mozelle (and their bonders) were well-developed.

Wow, I finally got to finish this after several days! (It seemed that everytime I started, I was having to get off.) Anyway, awesome story, can't say much more than that. :) Xanatos was perfect (better than the books, that's for sure) and the inner battle for Obi-Wan was wonderful. Awesome job. Make sure to post this at (Fanfiction.net). The readers there are always eager for more Obi stories. ;)

An exceptionally well-written fanfic! If I could rate it an 11 instead of just a 10, I'd still want to give it a 12! Excellent description, a perfect ending -- bad guy escapes but at least his evil is undone -- wonderful cover art...All in all, the fanfic of fanfics!

An excellent story. Full of strong emotions, suspensful situations, and wonderful portrayals of the characters. I was left wanting more! I am hoping there is a sequel, with Xanatos' next plot, more exploring of Obi & Qui's relationship and Obi's recovery.

This story is amazing! It sounds like it truly belongs in the series, and I wish it was a book. I printed it off the internet and wouldn't put it down until it was done. This story was so well written and accurate to SWJA. It gave me some ideas for my own fanfic that I am in the process of. I am highly recommeneding this story to my friends. Congratulations on a well written story that leaves me speechless.

HOLY FORCE! THIS FANFIC RULES! 100 times better than the actual JA! The characters were perfect, the story was brilliant, it kept me hooked the whole way through, and it was just well written! And if you ask me - the way Xanatos came across in this story is much more evil (this is a good thing) than he does in the JA series.
Congrats again on a wonderful story!

A fantastic adaption of JA! Congratulations! It's in some parts maybe a bit too brutal, the way they treated Obi-Wan gave me always a creepy feeling... Though that's more realistic than the original JAs, I mean, they are just right for kids... But I really, really, really enjoyed it and read it the whole weekend! I couldn't stop until the last page! Keep on writing!

I absolutly LOVED this!! I like how you portrayed the characters, and the relationship between Obi-wan and his trainer. I felt that in some places you lmost went too far with Xanatos, but I like the way you portrayed him a lot better then in the JA books. I'll be checking out the sequel, I share an account on ff.net with a friend of mine. I hardly have any work up there at the moment though. I write under the name Manticore Queen.

I was late to work this morning because I stayed up half the night to finish this story. :) I couldn't imagine stopping in the middle and losing the flow. Really a wonderful piece of writing, twice as long as a JA book. I won't say twice as good because I like them for what they are, but defintely a better story for the older crowd. You've got excitement, angst, and violence without being painfully graphic, a hard line to tread for many writers it seems. The side story about the mineral was really superb, it was great to have something for people to do while they were looking for Obi rather than the other characters simply being relegated to occassionally remembered worried searchers. You have a very good balance. Your original characters (at least I thought they were, I don't know all the Jedi out there...) didn't try to steal the show at all, but were nice additions to the story. Really really really a marvelous story. You are a very talented writer, I'm going to have to search out more of your writing. I wish fanfiction.net was working on my computer so I could read the sequel!

What more can I say? This is a truly /amazing/ fic. The attention paid, not just to the series characters, but to the sociology of an alien culture... Wow. The interactions between Obi Wan and his trainer alone made this story worth reading. I'd stack this one up against many of the stories written by the 'professional' SW authors any day.

I enjoyed this story. It was very good, however I thought the end was a bit rushed. It leaves the readers with a lot of questions. I would be interested in a sequel to find out what happens though. The one other suggestion I have, is that I noticed you have several run-on sentences. If you read it out loud, it is to get lost, because you have no place to pause. I did enjoy it though, especially as a fan of the Jedi Apprentice series. Please keep writting as you have alot of potential.

I LOVED this fanfic. It's one of the best ones I've ever read for any fandom! The emotions and thoughts were portrayed beautifully, I really loved the way you showed the relationship between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. All the characters, even the ones who had hardly any "screen time" seemed extremely realistic to me. Part of me believes that I was really there and that all the people there were real. Just one thing, I can't find "Ward" at www.fanfiction.net. Could you tell me if there's something special I have to put in the search?
