This was staggeringly good. I liked the way Cai froze when she realized who she was facing at the end, and how she remembered everything that she'd been taught, including "Business is business". It was interesting that she asked herself why she was crying when she didn't feel anything at all. And I can't help it, I liked how she got up after that and honoured Soren's legacy by carrying on in the way he'd brought her up. Anything else just wouldn't have been right. Excellent story.

I rarely read a fanfic with only OCs, but this one makes me think that I should re-evaluate this kind of stories. The characters are believable and the writing excellent. Wonderful job.

I thought it was great, even though I'm not used to reading fanfics with all original characters. But it makes it even more impressive when they're wonderful, since their author had nothing to go on. You maintained character throughout the whole story, and I found myself feeling sorry for Cai - which probably would have gotten me killed! :p Anyway, great job - keep writing.
