I'm glad this story finally made it into the Archives! I'm NOT even exaggerating when I say this is one of the best stories (about clones) that I ever read. Throws the whole idea of clones into a very "human" loop, gives them extra dimensions, and shows them for what they really are - instead of automatons who killed because that's what their superiors told him to do.

I love 14573. He's completely original, and it's amazing how much you managed to tell us about his character in such a short story! 14592 (I think that's the right number, anyway ... you know who I'm talking about) is also a cool character in his own right; his insecurities make him just incredibly ... well, human.

Nicely done!

Well done, a good story... the first part, with the story, rising sun etc. reminded me of george and lennie from Of Mice and Men. Very sweet!

Wow, very touching ending! It almost seems to parrallel the morals our parents force on us, showing us to make sure our responsibilities are fulfilled before our wants... but with such a twist! very nice!

I liked this piece, a lot. Very different, the original characters were great, but the entire work thought-provoking about the cloning process itself.

Wonderful story! I like the way it was '92 in the end who gave up, instead of '73. It says so much about the changes in the life of a human, not to mention a clone...

this was a great story! it was good to glimpse the personal lives of the clones in preparation for the war and to consider the issues of individuality versus social obligation. the story reminded me at times of THX 1138, as well. excellent work.

Wow, that was a exellent story, the best I have ever read about a clone!
What really sets it apart is how you show us into his head, and how, by the end, we feel as if we know the clone!
Oh, but the numbers sometimes got a little confusing!

Just like everybody else that commented on this story, I liked it a lot. Everybody knows how to show compassion for rebel soldiers, and other type of people, while very few people ever show any compassion for clone/stormtroopers.

Nice and touching story. Aside from carefully explaining why did the clones need to banish their individuality as it is in the official databanks (because of the errors and cloning) you did a fine great job showing that they really have emotions, they're still humans. Nice very nice. Can't wait to see your upcoming stories. im trying to make my stories myself and this one would be include to my references. Very nice, very nice.
