Hey I get the first one!
FANTASTIC! I love how you included bits from Episode five and six. I loved it. It's probably one of my favourite's and I read a lot of fanfic.

From The Author:

Hey, everyone!

Got to throw in the usual DISCLAIMERS here first, for 'Hold Me': All characters, ships, lightsabers, dialogue, planets, ideas, accessories sold separately and galaxies far, far away belong to George Lucas. I just use them to have fun with my own imagination, in a non-profit manner. :)

Okay, now that that's out of the way, I was unsure of how this story would turn out in the beginning. Having written this on the heels of 'The Moment of Balance' (also in the Archives), I almost asked for 'Hold Me' to be a supplemental sequel to 'The Moment of Balance', but as it evolved during the editing process, I realized that the story seemed to stand alone better.

This piece was a great challenge for me to write, personally. I would like to thank my betas, especially two in particular, who shall remain nameless unless they themselves come forward. One was just completely inexhaustible for months, and the other, well...the other beta helped me at the end when I was just about to completely run out of gas. :)

Thanks to all who have helped me get this story into the Archives.

This was a beautiful, touching story. I had always imagined that Leia told Han about Luke's connection to Vader after the battle of Endor, but this made it believable that she leaked that much beforehand.

Bail seemed a little harsher with Leia than I would have expected, but it was understandable, with the need to keep Leia protected.

Han and Leia were both very much in character. I loved seeing their inner thoughts. All in all, this was a great story.

That's a great focus on Leia's dealing with both the revelation of Vader being her father and of her childhood.

Very good! I'm at work and couldn't stop reading! (Almost got caught twice!) It was nice to explore more of Leia's feelings, since we didn't get much in the movies. :)

This was a beautifully executed piece, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. At times I found certain phrasings difficult to follow or was distracted by stylistic differences, but on the whole I liked it. You had the characters down very well, and I loved the bit with Leia as a child. You used that flashback very effectively.

Thank you for sharing this with us!

Great! I had actually done a very short little piece for my own pleasure and practice similar to the first part of this a few days ago. The rest of it really brings it together though- my favorite part is Leia remembering her childhood. Not only is it beautifully written and the scenes are moving and powerful on their own, but you can just imagine Anakin-within-Vader catching a glimpse of his daughters' thoughts somehow and it helping him respond to Luke (I'm sure that's what you had in mind!).

This is the first time I ever responded to a fic here. I just wanted to say that I absoulutly LOVED this story. It was beautifully written! There was a section (during Leia's flashbacks) that actually had me tearing up! Han's POV (is that what you call it) was also great! Loved it all and once again: Marvolous job!

Hey, Ty, good to see you get another story into the archive. Great characterization. I especially liked Han's POV. You really captured his impatient streak, and how hard it was for him to think about someone besides himself. Good job.

Great story! I absolutely loved the flashback piece and how you included Anakin as well as Padme. I like that Padme stays true to Anakin. Some fics have on turning on him like they never meant everything to each other. You captured their love and Padme's love of Leia (as Anakin's daughter, her last link to him). Bravo!

Awesome story... I too, liked the flashbacks at 5 and 14...I believe you captured Bail's reactions to Leia's visit and when she revisited her mother's old room rather well. He loved Leia and obviously was reacting like any "father" would.

The only part I would disagree with.. from a personal standpoint is Padme suicide. .. because I like that she survived and on is a world like Dagobah.. Shipwrecked and out of touch.. guess we wont know till 2005 anyway

again great job

That was truly amazing. I don't really like Padme committing suicie, but she had to die somehow, I suppose. I just hope she doesn't do that in Ep 3 - actually, I never thought of that! Scary!

Anyway, that was great. I love Leia - she's a fantastic character!

I loved this, most especially for the flashbacks and the realization of why she'd been drawn to Luke. The fight between Bail and Padme was heart-wrenching.

Wow!!!!!! I loved this story! I have always loved Leia's relationship with Anakin. It was a wonderful idea to have Leia basically told the same thing as Luke: Darth Vader killed her father. It would make her even more determined to fight. I also loved her thoughts that maybe Luke was right to think there was still good in him. Awsome!!!! Write more please!!!!

I love this! Not only does it give us a glimpse into Leia's childhood, but Han's way of thinking is explained! This was a fantastic way to show how Leia has matured froma s rebellious teenager into a mature young woman who's strugglnig to deal with hidden family truths... and Han's bizzare comforting attempts ;) ps love the cover art!
