Oy . . . I realized I hadn't read anything here for about half a year and came to see if there was anything that looked interesting. Wow, Sache! That's . . . it's . . . really, really good. Excellent.

Oooof. Very freaky. Sorry about my incoherence. Morning. You understand.

Wow nice missing scene! It almost makes you feel sorry for Vader, he always loses out when it comes to Kenobi. Very onimous, makes you just want to find out what happens next (even if you already know!)

Two thumbs up (or whatever you use for digits in this galaxy, be it Verpine legs, Wookiee climbing claws, or other assorted extremities.)
Nicely done.

I'm so glad to see this here, Sache! Still one of my favorites, definitely. This is a wonderful interpretation of Vader's discovery, and very eloquently written. I love getting into Vader's head like this. Beautifully done.

Excellent fic. I've always wanted to see that scene where Vader discovered it was Luke who destroyed the Death Star... and ironically, how I imagined it was very similar to how you portrayed it - though one detial (how Vader finds out) is better in yours than in mine.

God bless,

Excellent account of how Vader may have found out about Luke. Vader's thoughts about Obi-Wan and his determination to make his son into his own Sith apprentice are very believable. Well done.

The feel was great-
Only one thing I really have a complaint about-Vader using the force to remember something? Take it out and its fine-Red43j

It's pretty good, but I thought that the fact that Vader was pondering who his apprentice was going to be at the exact moment the lieutenant came up to him to tell him Skywalker destroyed the death star was a stretch. I know that the author would argue that it's the will of the force but I think he could have constructed that part of the story better.

Very nice story, I enjoyed the 'bridge' between two movies. The only thing wrong I find is that you suggest Vader knew that he had a son. That still may be a slight possibility, but most evidence claims Vader never knew. Good though

Very well written shortie.... excellent pace and atmosphere. Excepcionally executed and interesting. I wish it could be a bit longer due to its superb quality, but it does deliver anyways!!!

totally crazy.. this makes that whole scene with ben and vader fight more understandable.. i was always like.. why did he let himself die like that man?! but now i sorda think there's a better reason.. to let luke slip away.. and that he WASNT the last jedi hope.
very cool

Nice job! It fits in so well with Vader's obsession with finding Luke in the next films. I like how you also put in how Obi-Wan really did beat Vader in the end. Evil never wins!

*bounces* I'm so glad this got in. Your writing is amazing, Sach. This piece gave me chills. I imagine Vader finding out Luke would have been a very powerful thing, and you wrote it as such. I also liked the explanation for why Ben sacrificed himself, and how he did it in such a way that Vader was distracted from Luke. It made a lot of sense.

You knew. You always knew. She told you the day you left.

It goes well with Leia's line in ROTJ.. I know.. somehow I have always known.... the skywalker clan is definately intuative.

great Job

Mark.

Good story. You kept Vader in character better than anyone else I have seen, yet we did find out how Vader discovered the truth. Although it never happened like this, it is certainly plausible. The way you wrote it was excellent. Nicely done.

Nicely done. Obi wan really got last laugh on many levels that day, he distracted vader allowing Luke not to be sensed by him, he became a spirit of the force that couls guide Luke anywhere, and he also made sure it was set firmly in Lukes mind the image of Vader killing him. Vader was left with a hollow victory and no body to gloat over, dissapearing with a wry grin

Great story 9/10
