You amaze me with the way you write Jane Jinn.Although this was one off your shorter stories, it was still written with much feeling in the characters.I love your stories so keep writting!

very nice! I always enjoy your stories. I must confess, when I read the synopsis, I was skeptical, but then I saw who the author was and it lived up to my expectations. way to avoid the cheesy-ness. Good work!

Lovely work. As usual, your work shows a sensitive understanding of these characters and the workings of the Jedi beyond what we see in the films. Thank you for sharing this peaceful little vignette.

I really likes this story. Good subtlety and metaphores. And of course a nice missing scene as well. Very well.

I love this story. It shows off Qui-Gon's personality and shows him as less tense, more at home. I like the symbolism of Obi-Wan too, it stays true to the books and movies at the same time.

I have never read one of your stories that I didn't like the same is true with this one. I love the way you captured Qui Gon Jinn. The garden scene was very appropriate. Very well written. May the force be with you.

I've been away from fanfiction for a while in general. Nothing seemed to catch my interest--but looking at this little character sketch of sorts just put a smile on my face. Thank you for the read--it came when I needed it most.

Thanks, Jane...I am finishing a long, challenging semester of student teaching. I'm exhausted by the final rounds of paperwork due, but this was a lovely reminder of why I want to teach. Like Jedi and gardeners, teachers also encourage strong, good growth...and require lots of patience! (Thanks for pointing this out, Bill!)

This is so sweet! I love the way he thinks about Obi-Wan as being like the bush. You captured this really well, Jane, it's great. Thanks for an excellent read.

I rather enjoyed this one - and it reminded me of a talk by... someone about a bush of some sort (darn it, I can NOT remember who or what! maybe Hugh Nibley?). Anyway, I thought it was very well done, and an excellent analogy. Well done!

Well done. Qui-Gon's such a thoughtful character that it's great to give him a platform to share some of his views. You did a good job of making the bush metaphor clear without making it cheesy.
