This was simply stunning! Beautifully written and so much like Obi-Wan to make this sacrifice. Wonderful work!

Beautiful, haunting work, but you know (in, I'm sure, painful detail) what I think. :p Loved it the first, second, and tenth times, and loved it more now. Great job!

Oh my goodness! That was a wonderful story! It made me cry, it was so emotional. I would encourage you to follow this up with another; explaining if Obi-wan's sacrifice makes Anakin stay with the light or fall to the darkness faster. Thank you for writing this wonderfully moving story. It is one that I think I will return to read many more times.

Oh my goodness...I can't breathe. That was so sad. I can't breath. Congratulations on a wonderful job. You brought out the emotions so beautifully. It is so alive. The must be the saddest story I have ever read, and I have read a good many. Beautifully written.

Although this fan fic has to do with Ben's death, I'm not totally against it. You laid this plot out very beautifully, and for that, my deepest congragulations to you. :)

That was an incredible AU! When I read it, I imagined it as though there was a point in time when it split into 2 parallel universes, and Obi-Wan's different decisions in the 2 universes led to such contrasting endings. I think this contrast would have been a tremendously interesting idea to play upon.

This was a very well written story. I liked it a lot. I kind of enjoy the irony in it though the most. I don't know if this was what you were after or not, but I found it interesting that Anakin STILL was to blame for his death. Because of the vision Obi Wan had of his padawan turning to the darkside, he let himself die. Just my train of thought while reading your fanfic. Very cool. ;)

Nice work-its so sad..n pretty cool. N its reall well writtedn too! But one thing though, i'm not sure if its just me, but i was sorta lost at the beginning bit where like..darth vadar was talkin about sacrifce and stuff. At first i couldn't tell that it was a vision of Obi Wan's or wasn't it. I'm sort of confused at the moment.

This story broke my heart... as all the stoires that tell the timeless tale of a friend loved and lost(anakin) The stroy was huanting and shone with brillance among a galaxy of dull stars. Please write another one!!!

I hate to be the only one making a negative comment but...
I think that it was a touch overdone, and slightly "girly". You made a little bit too much of a big deal about the physical contact, and the "I love you" thing.

But I still loved it! It's very good, the other stuff nonwithstanding.

Although I am not the kind to like "mushy" moments, your story is horrifyingly amazing. Beautifully written. You should write books my friend! Congratulations!

I really liked this. I got the impression that Anakin would still turn to the dark and that Obi-Wan couldn't bear to see it.

Very like Obi Wan to make that sacrifice- btu I hate to watch him die! I wonder how that affects the outcome of events, if it changes anything.

I loved it It was very moving to read the last moments of a great jedi that would sacrifice him self for the love of his padawan. I beleive that you have caught Master Obi Wan's thought and feelings to tee. Keep writting and I do encourage you to write a sequal to this one about weather or not anikin fell to the dark side or if he remained in the light. And if luke and liegh are born.

Rhaya's Comments:

It was very well written except that it didn't make clear whether the first part with Ani killing Obi was a vision or reality and cut away from that part too quickly. It made me have to go back several times to establish where exactly reality began and the events were no longer a vision of what "could have happened" But other than that a beautifully descriptive work. I would just make it a bit more apparent that Anakin killing him in the beginning was a premanition, not an actuall event in your story.

WOW! I can't believe what a wonderful story you have written here. What can I say - you set it up wonderfully, made Obi-Wan's distress believeable, and justified his choice. And the scene between Obi-Wan and Anakin...that is the only time so far a Fanfic has made me tear up. Beautiful.

I read this fic when I was 12, kinda didn't get it, I saw it and I thought I'd read it for real this time around... I seriously was bawling at this. Best story I've ever read. Wonderful! And seriously, I mean it.

This was beautiful. Obi-Wan has always made Anakin the focus of his life and this came across really well.

It's very in character and I'm left just desperately hoping that it will be enough to save Anakin.
