Really well written. I like the notion that Vader was "rethinking his choices" before ROTJ and his fight with Luke.

Excellent story.

Thank you so much to everyone who's read and especially to those who have been kind enough to leave comments so far. This story was issued to me as a challenge by my friend spiritgurl, so I have to thank her for the inspiration. I also have to thank my betas for their help in cutting the fat and really helping the story along. Finally I just want to thank God for everything, especially whatever talents he's given me.

This piece blew me away with its tapestries of words. Every sentence, every phrase, was like a music, coursing through my eyes. Lives up to my highest expectations, and reaches the depth and realness of "In Another's Eyes". Thank you for five minutes with the Chosen One.

Great job. That inner wall is starting to crumble just a little. Wonderful imagery recalling his younger days and the commitment that was made and kept.

Wow. I... I don't know what to say! You've taken my breath away with such a wonderful piece. Wow. I don't think I had dry eyes by the end of it, but now that I think about it, I'm sure that Vader would have kept the lightsaber as a memoir, like he would with all other lightsabers. 'A Trophy, Nothing More'. Fitting name for a well written piece. Congrats.

Hobbit.

I really thought this piece showed how Vader still that little bit of Anakin still in him. It's almost as if he was willing Anakin to come back, but the dark side took him over again.

Great Work!

I...can't.. think... of what... to... say... All that comes to mind is...That was so cool!!!!! This is definitely one of, if not my favorite story delving into Darth Vader's head. It did a wonderful job showing the struggle that existed in him. I loved the way he had to convince himself that Obi-wan's lightsaber was only a trophy. God has certainly blessed you with a talent for writting. It's nice to know their are other Star Wars fans who are Christians as well. God bless!!!!

I'm relatively new here, but I've already read a great number of fanfics, and this is the first one which has compelled me to write a response. All I can say is this is an incredible piece of literature. The characterization could not have been more exact for Vader. A very poignant piece. Very well done.

this is so good. How can you write like this? It's amazing!!!! I enjoyed every bit of it. Awww( if it's not too bold to say) poor Vader...and Obi-Wan...It's soo depressing. Do keep up the awesome work! I love it!
