This was wonderful when I read it the first time and it is just as good now. I love how Darth Vader is an enigma to his "brother", yet, he knows him so well. Bravo!

Great story. Very good characterization of Vader. A tourtured, dark soul, but not wholly evil.

Hey, it got archived! Congratulations! I loved the characterizations first and second times around; the way you phrase these things always touches the audience so much!

An EXCELLENT fanfic! People often wonder why I'm so into fanfics and fanfilms, and this story is a perfect example of why! The dialogue is sharp, Poulin's turmoil over what his friend/brother has become is tangible. This was an excellent read, and it even fits in with the movies' plotlines.

Keep writing!

An excellent work! I started off just skimming the first few paragraphs and then became engrossed.

Great work! Engaging dialogue and good concept.

I love it when authors make my decision-making jobs easy; thank you. ;) I adored this piece ... the characterizations were spot-on, the grammar was flawless, and your main character evoked emotions that I was unaware could be aroused in me by an OC. *laughs* Thank you for sharing this piece with us, and congratulations on the well-deserved archival. :)

This was a great story. I loved how Poulin thought he had lived a fruitless life trying to stay alive avoiding Vader, but in the end had to risk death to see his "brother" in the shell of what was once a man. I couldn't stop reading once I got hooked. Well done.

Beautiful! I'm trying to write my oen SW fan fic at the moment and so I truly appreciate how difficult it is to balance your own creativity with the SW canon - keeping characters in character, while exploring the universe we know and love more deeply :)

You have achieved that here. A great read, and inspired me to keep writing!

A long time I have watched this story, from bare beginings to the long over due archiving of this wonderful work. One of the crown jewls of SW fandome.

A story like this makes me wonder how any of the comparitively mediocre novels ever got published! Stellar, stellar, marvelous work! Heartfelt writing that made sense, wrenched the senses, and opened the Star Wars soul within me in a fresh new way. I loved how you told the story in bits and dribbles, keeping all the cards under your vest until... marvelous. Phenomenal, feeling work. I loved the characterization - Vader especially - and cannot express my adulation enough.

PS. Are any of the characters here EU besides for Luke, Kenobi, Palpatine, etc?

Keep up the excellent work! Let me know when you are officially published!

Good write, but open for argument... No offense to the author, but this particular write doesn't give a very real image to Vader. Vader is supposed to be a Sith, an enemy to all Jedi. Wouldn't any Sith jump at the chance to kill any Jedi? This write doesn't bring out the full potential of Vader and capabilities.

This is a really cool story. It shows a more human side to Vader and the remorse of an ex-Jedi in hiding. Keep up the good work!

Impressive, most impresive.

It was interesting to the last, if a bit puzzling...

I look forward to a sequel......?

OMG I LOVE IT.

I usually hate original characters, but I had an idea for a story like this one, including anakin having had a padawan.

My only concern it...well Anakin was only what...24 or something at his turn? How could he have a 17 yrold padawan?

ANywho GREAT story, tottaly believable and in character.

BRAVO!

Bravo! Interesting glimpse into Vader's character and I just LOVED your OC. :) This fic was recommended to me by Breezy and I am very glad I took her up on her suggestion :)

Well done! I love the way you show the turmoil in the mind--both Jedi and Sith. And that you wove you plot skillfully--a pattern on the outside of the coat, and the inside: which was way more beautiful than the first appearance. I look forward to your future books.

Delightful. Fantastic.

Westchild; Brith wasn't Anakin's Padawan. He was his fellow Padawan. Brith's master sent him to safety and died himself.

Brilliant! Slightly unrealistic; but who am I to nitpick about realism in a fantasy world? Believable. Lovely.
