This is a really great fic. I love the light angst that's present throughout the entire story. I've never read a fanfic where Mara died and Luke lived on afterward. They are always the other way around.

Oh, beautiful.

I love how you got inside Luke's head, and the (very Luke-ish) way he carries on with life but can't quite shake off the feeling that something's missing. And it's wonderful, the way that the story never slips quite into tragedy; achingly sad, yes, but never dark.

A superb fic. Well done.

That really pulled on the heart strings. Seems such a sad ife to feel that constant sense of something missing.

The best first line ever, is what I thought when I read this for the first time. Best first line, and it only gets better, more heartwrenching, more poignant.

You are an incredible writer, and very few people have a better grasp on the Luke Mara dynamic. Bravo!

That was great. I started off thinking that I wasn't going to enjoy it, but then boom! halfway through the first paragraph, I was hooked. it's good that there are gutsy authors like this so we can have great stories like this.

Awesome job!!! I've always liked the pairing of Mara and Luke and never once had thought about what would happen if she had died at Mount Tantiss.
