it seems like anakin asked Padme to Marry her the same way in every story, he always said "Marry me" and she said "Anakin I-" and that's all I have to say.

Nice collection! I liked Elinon Bybeth's first person narrative the most. Some of her descriptive thoughts were great!

My favorite story was by FernWithy (Whatever Comes to Us) That was exactly what I imagined the proposal to be like. This was excellent. I especially liked that little touching moment when Anakin told Obi-Wan that he loved him. :) This was great!

(deafening applause) Huge KUDOS to all the writers! Good show!

My favorite was "Hour of Souls", so deliciously Star Wars, characterizations were right on the nose, and it eerily reminded me of the same stoic atmosphere that was present in America directly after the events of September 11th. Out of all the entries, this is the proposal scene that I'll forever kindle in my memory as "the way it really happened."

Great Job!

Wow! Those were amazing, all were good, but I especially liked "Hour of souls" it was exactly star wars, so real, I almost cried.

I also really liked, "The cold touch of love." the symbolizem of Anakins metal hand was amazing, yet again, I almost cried (ok, so I'm sappy, I cry easy. ;) ) But honest, it was a happy sad.

I also liked "Hope" that one was amazing, when Padme's touching Anakins metal hand and warming it up, like removing his darkness, I loved it.

I liked Hour of Souls the best because it was the most complicated. That's what I'd imagined it would be, with 50 people having a say in the relationship. It's too bad. It seemed like a struggle from the start and this fic illustrated it.

An enjoyable collection. I definitely liked FernWithy's "Whatever Comes to Us" the best -- just very well-written and in character, and a mature exploration of what Anakin and Padme would have to face after the love pledge on Geonosis. "Hour of Souls" was also quite good. Guess I need to read the other half of the anthology now! :)

Yeah! This rocks!
My favorite was "hour of souls". Characterization was good, plot was good, everything was good!
"Marry Me" was great too. "With great power comes great responsibility", so Spiderman!

Whatever Comes To Us is my favorite from this part of the anthology. It's the one that sticks out as one that could actually have been a string of deleted scenes from the movie.

I like them all but my favorites were Hope, Past Echoes, Future Promise, and Whatever Comes to Us. They were all sweet but pretty similiar. Padme was always the "rational" one and Anakin was the one who suggested getting married.

Well, I'm just getting around to looking at this, and as an author of one of the stories, I have to say that I'm disappointed in the format here. I feel like a lot of the stories are getting lost in the shuffle, and that grouping them like this has tended to highlight their similarities rather than allowing readers to focus on the merits of each one individually. I enjoyed most of the stories, but I feel like this format has done a disservice to the writers (yeah, yeah, I know I agreed to it initially... :-P )

My favorite proposal stories in this set were "Hour of Souls" and "Whatever Comes to Us". I also liked the first-person Padme narrative in "True Happiness" and the first-person Anakin one of Past Echoes, Future Promises".

I agree with Darth Lothi - I don't think that this format did the stories justice - even though, personally, I never got tired of reading,
"Marry me, Padme."
"Anakin, I - "
...but then, I'm a romantic at heart. My favorite story was definitely The Hour of Souls. Not only did I feel that this story was the most in keeping with Anakin's character, I loved the part when Padme told him that the Jedi Council thought she was corrupting him in his innocence, and he replies with blatantly seductive intent, as if to say, "Um, hello? I'm not a boy, I'm a grown man." I loved that part. :p Keep up the good work, you guys!

I think that the format was a difficult choice, but the right one. Sure, it would have been nice to get a lot of comments on "Whatever Comes to Us" (and thanks for the nice ones here!), but as a couple of people have mentioned, there's a certain pattern in these stories, and some deep similarities. By collecting them all up at once rather than dribbling them into the archive one at a time, people can see the writers beside one another, and you also avoid people being annoyed at the archive taking one proposal story after another--"Sheesh, don't you guys do *anything* but romance stories? How many times do we have to read the same thing?" By putting them all in one place, the people who want to see proposal stories know where to look, while people who aren't interested in them aren't confronted with a whole screen full of them when they drop by.

To some extent, I agree with everyone. The stories were all similar, but hey, everyone who came to read these knew that these were proposal fics involving Padme and Anakin. And in my opinion, all of the authors were right on the nose on characterization, so it's no surprise that they were all, quote un-quote, "Marry me, Padme"... "Anakin, I-". THAT'S WHAT THEY WOULD SAY!

Anyways, congratulations to all of the writers on your beautiful pieces. Long live mushy Ani/Ami fics!
