An intriguing story-- I've never read anything like it. It's interesting to read an action scene that focuses more on thoughts and feelings than physical maneuvers, and adds a lot of depth to a story that seems quite simple on the surface.

Very nice.

Thanks Jedi Hong Chia and Mcily Nochi . This started with just the image of a Jedi Knight using the Force to reveal a lost lightsaber, as depicted in the story. It seemed like a novel form of self-defense, and it so compelled me that I couldn't stop thinking about it until I wrote the story. The entire story grew from that image.

How do you like the cover art? It's a good thing somebody else did it--you should consult the "Whatever" page of my website and see what I was planning to upload for cover art...

You already know what I think about this fic, my patient beta-readee, but here it is again for the record:

I love your way with words and descriptions. You really captured the character of a frightened young padawan. Also, the Jedi Master gave a very convincing performance, and the ending was excellent--good job all around!

I thought that it wasn't that good, but at the same time...it was sad.

Very nice story! I liked the way that Kresh was hearing the sound of 'his doom' coming down the passage, and then it turned out to be his master. It was sad, though, that the only way to save themselves was to kill the creature that Kresh had been admiring.

I liked the cover art, too!
