Obaona, Congratulations! I'm SO HAPPY this trio of vignettes finally made it into the archives. These were simply WONDERFUL! It was a joy to read them on the boards, and a delight to beta, and I'm simply overcome to have them here, now!

Forbidden: lovely, lovely early thoughts on Obi's parts, his realization of his feelings, so beautiful!

He Kissed My Ankle: Ah, well you know how shivery I get whenever I read that ankle kissing bit--and I never thought that an ankle could be romantic until you wrote this lovely fic.

Falling Off the World: DEFINITELY my favorite of the trio. They all just got better and better. Lovely, lyrical, mystical. And in all three, such wonderful characterizations of both Obi-Wan and Siri Tachi. That paragraph toward the end: "We reached out to the Force in that moment of decision. We felt the tiny lives of insects and scavengers on Tatooine, and we felt the harsh and brutal existence of Mos Espa and Mos Eisley. And we felt the majestic sweep of the two suns, circling each other endlessly in a beautiful dance of inevitability" always made me sigh with the melancholy beauty of your prose.

Lovely, wonderful, stupendous...a brilliant tour de Force, dearest!

Well, this fics are really sweet. You've archived them before, but very cool. I beta-ed 'he kissed my ankle' and geesh, it's really funny! (Is this version edited though? Seemed shorter) Ok, tootles, Barissa

You did a great job here! It's nice to know that Obi Wan finally found happiness at last, and I really like how you portrayed him here. You captured his character so well! I don't know much about Siri, but I liked what I read and all 3 vignettes were wonderful.

Oh, Oba! Magnificent! Forbidden was excellent, as was Falling Off the World, but He Kissed My Ankle was definately my favorite. That kind of sarcastic humor and sweet tenderness was exactly what made me fall in love with... well, you know who.
"It's hard to explain love, or its effect. It's a beautiful, precious feeling."
I couldn't have said it better myself. Congrats on more wonderful works to add to your collection.

I no longer read much fanfic but I couldn't resist the teaser passage. This is a very nice set of stories. My only quibble is a philosophical/semantic one which I bring up only because of apparent allusions to Godly love, that these stories somewhat blur the distinction between "agape" and other kinds of love, like romantic love. On the other hand, this may be quite justifiable particularly in the fact that the characters experience love as something quite mysterious and may not make such a distinction themselves. But agape is unattached and unconditional, and I appreciated the connection of this idea of love with the Jedi, as I agree with the author that it is not necessarily incompatible with their ideals and that they could regard it as an absolute good in itself. I have to apologize for my somewhat "theological" reaction, but that was what I found interesting.

Thank you for these beautifully written stories. Jude Watson in her Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Quest novels has certainly been hinting for awhile that Obi-Wan has feelings for Siri. I think you captured both personalities well. I am glad you made them both hopeful and optimistic at the end and not feeling guilty or anguished.

Obaona -- you did it again! I take it you've worked on these stories for a while; the result is worth the struggle. :)

I doubt that OBW would accept a lover because of what he's doing on Tatooine. *Even if* he recieved the most votes in the "Most in Need of A Good Kiss" poll on the official site!

The dry wit and the caring heart which has a hard time expressing itself in words . . .. Well done!
Nice to find someone else who appreciates OBW's good qualities. :)

I really liked this fic! You described both Obi Wan and Siri in a very compelling manner and their inner debates on whether or not to act upon those feelings!
Well done!

Very, very beautiful; even the way it was presented, three together, hinted of a mysterious collection that spoke volumes of sadness and tears.

It is so tempting, so appealing, just like a book of short stories, only even more.

You're going to take over the fanfiction archives, aren't you? Three wonderful vignettes. I loved each and every one of them. You balanced Jedi logic with that four letter word no one says. Very good job. I love ready fics by you, they're always so original and you give them a feeling all your own. Another excellent job here!

This story was great, but what ever happened to Siri??? She is not mentioned in any of the movies, and Yoda says in ROTJ that when he dies, Luke is the last of the Jedi. PLZ write a sequal telling what happenes to her.

Obaona, these are three very lovely vigs. I liked "Forbidden," especially how Obi was trying to come to grips with the fact that he loved Siri, and yet the Jedi Code forbids such emotions. The dry, sarcastic humor in "He Kissed My Ankle" was great, and I adored how it was from Siri's POV. But I have to agree with Lady Padme and say that "Falling Off The World" was the best. Your prose is so beautiful, and I loved the complex characterizations of both Obi and Siri. "I realized that sometimes, happy endings, or rather happy beginnings, really do come to be."

An absolutely wonderful job.

*gasps* Lovely. Again. I'm not surprised! I absolutely love your writing style and even though I haven't read much on the Siri-Obi thing I loved this! Keep up the superb work.

By the way, the ankle thing...REALLY sounds like Obi-Wan. Heehee!! :)

Ok I will start by saying you have a very interesting writing style. I thought that the story was a bit too long. I didn't like how they both gave into their love though, I don't think that that was appropriate or even true to their characters, but that is just my opinion. Of course maybe a part of me is just jealous since I have had a crush on Obi-Wan for 2 years now.

Wow. That was an awsome story. I thought there was something between Obi-wan and Siri. You did a great job of showing how a Jedi would view love. Could you please continue this story for A New Hope? It would be so interesting to show how Siri's presence would effect things. Keep up the good work!
