This month marks the Archive's nine year anniversary. On this day in 2001, the Archive officially opened its doors with a staff of fifteen and with eleven fan fiction stories already archived.
Today we celebrate by remembering and thanking that original staff for the vision they had in creating this site, and for the immense labor they put into the project. Of those fifteen, three have left us with fic to enjoy. First we start with
FernWithy, one of the founders of the site, and its first editor. Her first archived fic was
Autopilot, wherein Anakin must learn the difference between trusting in the Force and trusting in himself, in August of 2001.
On the first reviewer staff, we have
ami-padme. Her first archived fan fic was
Fire and Darkness from July, 2001. It is a pre-
Revenge of the Sith speculation piece of how Anakin might have lost Padm?.
Also a reviewer on the first staff,
Julie later became an editor in June of 2001. Her first contribution to the Archive's story collection was also in August of 2001:
If I Don't Catch You. It is the first of an AU trilogy, where young Anakin's life is significantly changed when Qui-Gon survives the events of
The Phantom Menace.
Tell us what year you first discovered the Archive in our new
poll.
