I have very little knowledge in the Extended Universe and would like to limit stories to pre-original trilogy characters rather then EU characters.

I am not the greatest on grammar related beta-ing, however I can write comments on plot, characterization, flow, style, fact (if written in the cannon universe), etcetera. I'm most experienced in beta-ing stories set during the Prequels and before as well as events happening before the OT. My interest in Jedi is limited to Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan and I don't beta stories related to Jedi or Sith Philosophy. I also have a great longing to beta AU and “What if…” fictions.
If I happen to read your story, I'll read it to the best of my ability and try to get it back to you within seven to ten days.
Limits :
I have not read much of the NJO just the first couple of books, which I wasn't fond of, so that areas is a no betaing wise. Also, I don't do romance, of any kind really unless its extremely subtle.

Not particularly busy at the moment, but will become busy with classes in the fall. I have limited experience betaing for Star Wars but I have betaed for other genres. I tend to focus more on plot and character development then on grammar, though I check over that as well. My own writing style tends to be dialogue driven, and I find writing dialogue extremely easy, so I could be of help to those who don't. I've read nearly all the post-ROTJ novels up through Survivor's Quest. At the moment I am reading through the Clone Wars novels.

Solo Kids (unless they come in package as children, and as second characters in the stories), anything melancholic (I'll beta-read it only if they resolute in happy endings. Sounds pathetic, I know), I'm not keen on reading something from the Old Republic... So don't pass me something like Anakin Skywalker/Obi Wan Kenobi stuff from the OR.

I'd be happy doing beta-reading for your writing. I excels in grammar, punctuation and vocabulary (whereas some readers finds it extremely boring to use the same words repeatedly, that's where I come in handy, providing you with similar word that fits the story). I'll be more than glad to beta-read your humorous stories and romance, but adventure surely sounds nice too. Specialize in Luke/Mara with Han/Leia in the background plus some Rogue Squadron and Wraith Squadron..^^

I like stories where characters are in the dark side, but for good reasons or that they turn to the light. Some things like that. I might not be as up to date on all the SW timeline that I'd like, but I do my best.
