A short story about loss, and the powers
of the dark side and the past. Qui-Gon
learns the darkest of lessons, in a
lightsaber battle that never should
have been. Gives the idea that Obi-Wan
wasn't the first to come up with 'a
certain point of view'.
When a mid-rim trade conference comes under attack by terrorists, Obi-Wan Kenobi is assigned to protect one of the senators. Things go wrong. Suddenly Coruscant Security is linking Obi-Wan to the attack and the manhunt is on.
Anakin is hiding something; Obi-Wan wants to know what. But another secret has come to light: Dooku's whereabouts. Now Anakin, Padmé and Obi-Wan are racing to find the count before he disappears again.

Obi-Wan in disgrace. When I first saw that haunting E2 picture of Obi-Wan, head down, cloak pulled close, I wondered what could possibly bring him to ruin, if indeed, that is what the picture suggests. Though Obi-Wan's fate in this story is entirely my own creation, it is set solidly in E2 and hints strongly of E2 storylines.
With the trailers now released, this story has already vaulted to the status of AU. Some people would ask, "Why bother?" I can only reply that the story demanded to be written.
